Kenneth Rayhon
Instructor of Force Operations Group
A Subject Matter Expert, (SME) for Law Enforcement Use of Force has been instructing Law Enforcement for almost a decade. He is currently a Sergeant, and the Self-Defense Coordinator for one of the largest Law Enforcement Agencies on the East Coast. His primary responsibilities are to develop and implement recruit and sworn law enforcement officers training in every aspect as it pertains to Law Enforcement Use of Force.
Law Enforcement today is faced with split second life and death decisions, and they need to be trained that way. The training he provides blends self-defense skills with advanced communication skills, and a non-adversarial philosophy to ensure the safest and most effective ending to any confrontation. Having worked in some of the most dangerous cities in the country he has seen situations rapidly evolve. His experience in these cities has afforded him the knowledge to understand how difficult it can be to make a force decisions in dynamic situations. Kenneth Rayhon knows what tools Law Enforcement needs to get the job done.
He has trained members of the NJ Port Authority, NJ Department of Corrections, NJ Juvenile Justice Commission, NJ Department of Gaming Enforcement, NJ Department of Criminal Justice, New Jersey State Police and the NJSP TEAMS Unit on self-defense, control, and de-escalation.
In Rayhon's training courses participants usually:
· Develop the skills to control and restrain larger individuals.
· Gain an in-depth understanding of when and how to properly use force.
· Avoid confrontation while still achieving a Law Enforcement objective.
· The importance of the "Reactionary Gap" and how to use it to your advantage.
· How to avoid "Deadly Hesitation" while making force decisions.
Rayhon has combined multiple disciplines of martial arts and self-defense techniques with his experience in law enforcement to deliver the most effective and Law Enforcement specific training out there today. The understanding of the limitations of the human body with the knowledge of when Law Enforcement tools fail, will make officers better prepared to deal with unexpected physical confrontations.
