Steven DeAngelis

Steven DeAngelis has been instructing Law Enforcement for five years. He has instructed members of the New Jersey State Police on self-defense, control, and de-escalation methods to reduce liability to the Law Enforcement Officer and suspect. He has worked in a variety of law enforcement settings on the local and state level. This experience has provided him with the experience and knowledge that use of force situations are dynamic. The knowledge and experience has provided him with techniques that have been proven in real time scenarios.
In DeAngelis’ course participants typically:
· Recognize pre-attack/flight indicators.
· Understand how to control a subject.
· Learn techniques to properly de-escalate situations.
DeAngelis has over 16 years training in a various martial arts and has competed at the highest level. He has fought professionally for over 10 years in Mixed Martial Arts. DeAngelis has trained with world champions in Mixed Martial Arts gaining knowledge in different techniques. Competing at the highest level has enabled him to develop a system of techniques that work at a real time pace.
DeAngelis’ accomplishments:
· Training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2005
· 15 years of wrestling experience
· Obtained the rank of Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
· Fought professionally in MMA for over 10 years
